Why all this talk about lightning?

I got struck by lightning as a kid. A mighty flash and BANG—I got knocked out. Woke up to freaked out friends, biked home, and slept all day. After more rounds of cheating death, I thought a life in design would be a bit less risky. So I worked big agencies for years, and opened Menges Design in 2015. We love big ideas, and make stuff by hand for uncommon people. And we do it inside an old fire truck factory in Columbus, Ohio.
